A few weeks ago, to commemorate the first year anniversary of HANA's General Availability, I taped a special Google Hangout with SAP Mentors John Appleby, Vijay Vijayasankar and Harald Reiter. If you follow HANA you know these illustrious miscreants by now, if that is an acceptable phrase, hmm they might not like that one. But if you want to check out some bios, the four of us currently serve as the non-SAP-employee members of the HANA Distinguished Engineer Council.

Spotfire on HANA (and a bit of a comparison) 
After writing my “Tableau on HANA” blog I got curious again to see how a similar 3rd party application would behave when connecting it to HANA. It did not take a lot of time to find another subject for my investigation: Tibco Spotfire. I started off by Googling  “Spotfire HANA”. The first hit is immediately a very interesting one:
