The Forms 10g debugger is much better than the Forms 6i debugger. He is completly new written and has the ability to debug remote. So you can look into a running session of an user and search for errors. This is in the new web-environments a powerful method to find problems.
And that's only one aspect of the new debugger.
By now every knows that the release of Hyperion 11x has provided us with the latest and greatest Essbase modeling application, Essbase Studio. A lot of us are familiar with Essbase Integration Services and have been looking at Essbase Studio like a two-headed dog. They either are scared and don’t want to go near it or they are so used to their purse-dog, i.e: EIS, that they stick with what they know best and haven’t unwrapped Essbase Studio yet.
I have been trying to follow the rmi-iiop how to:
http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/htdocs/how-to-rmi-iiop.html
with oc4j 1013x. I experienced some issues and noticed some changes in the documentation compared to the previous versions.

I have been trying to run my RMI/IIOP client in Jdev 10135, and I kept on getting the following stack error:
java.rmi.AccessException: CORBA NO_PERMISSION 0 No; nested exception is:
org.omg.CORBA.NO_PERMISSION: ----------BEGIN server-side stack trace----------With the needs of the modern enterprise in mind, Oracle has unveiled Oracle Fusion Middleware 11g, its next-generation middleware platform. This complete, integrated, hot-pluggable, and best-of-breed application infrastructure offers increased agility and intelligence for business applications while enabling organizations to exploit new hardware and software architectures for efficient IT execution and cost savings.
Creating custom applications in Oracle JDeveloper using the Oracle Webcenter framework can be quite productive using the included out-of-the box components, taskflows and services. However, when it come to designing the page UI, it can be a frustrating experience. This is due in part on how certain components interact with each other in terms of flow and/or the ability to stretch its contents. In the beginning, I learned how to "get along" with working with the layouts components through many trial and error experiences.
When using HTTP Sessions with WebLogic Cluster, you can ensure high availability for your session by configuring HTTP Session Replication. For the replication strategy, you have many options to select from like In-memory, file, JDBC, Cookie etc. When you are using in-memory replication with a web server to front WebLogic Server Cluster, the proxy plug-in must be configured on the web servers. The proxy plug-ins are intelligent enough to stick the request from a client to the same server where the session is hosted.

Recently, I was asked by Packit Publishing to review a new book on Essbase by Joe Gomez and Sarma Anantapantula titled Oracle Essbase 9 Implementation Guide. I jumped at the chance. There are so few resources available out there for someone new to Essbase, it’s a shame. I understand it’s a small audience, but since the Oracle acquisition it is growing. I would like to thank the authors for spending their time, energy, sweat and tears to create the book. I know it is a difficult task, for I have a hard enough time just updating my blog from time to time.
