Helping clients navigate the federal stimulus program

Tech companies like Oracle and Cisco Systems are helping clients navigate the federal stimulus program in an effort to ensure that some of the $100 billion earmarked for information technology is spent on their products, the Wall Street Journal reports.

As business budgets take a hit from the recession, the tech giants, which already have big lobbying arms and are often more adept at navigating government bureaucracy than their clients, are training their sales staffs or designing products that are targeted at identifying ways to tap into stimulus funds.
