Summer is winding down and students everywhere are making some hard choices; Chem Lab or Study Hall, Advanced Geometry or Home Economics? Recently, Judson and I took off for a whirlwind trip to Japan. We enjoyed two days packed morning and night with partner events and meetings. What did we find? OPN Specialized adoption is strong. Partners believe in the specialization value proposition and are excited about opportunity with Oracle - Software, Hardware, Complete. The 48 hour trip included:

The 80's called and they want their movies back. With the summer line-up of movies reminding us to wax on and wax off one can start to wonder if there is anything new to look forward to this summer. The OPN Team is happy to report that - yes - there is. As Hannibal would say "I love it when a plan comes together"! And a plan we have; for the past 2 months we've been working to pull together the FY11 Oracle PartnerNetwork Kickoff. Listen in as Judson tells you more.

I figured I would repost a link as I keep having conversations on this subject including yesterday at an IDC Software Channel Leadership Council event.

FY10 is coming to a close and before we dive into FY11 we thought we would take a walk down memory lane and reminisce on some of our favorite Oracle PartnerNetwork activities.

Remember when E.T. phoned home and Ferris had a day off? Or when Michael Jackson did the moonwalk and Madonna was the Material Girl? That's what we call an 80's flashback. Remember when we offered you 11 specializations? That's what we call a Specialization flashback considering we now have over 35 Specializations available. A lot has changed since we rolled-out OPN Specialized last year. Listen in as Nick Kritikos talks about the latest specializations available.

Spring in New York City is a wonderful time of year, but if you're out walking around in Central Park it means you missed the most exciting thing happening in the city today -Oracle's announcement of the launch of Enterprise Manager 11g at the Guggenheim.

The Oracle + Sun Welcome Events start this week in New York City and wrap up in Perth, Australia on May 4th. We'd list off all of the cities we're visiting but then you might confuse this blog entry with a recap of Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire". Suffice it to say, we are covering the globe to bring you the message about what the combination of Oracle and Sun means to you.

Did you think we forgot about you? Hardly. We've been very busy working on the integration of Sun with Oracle. Well, that and winning America's Cup, but we'll talk about that one on another day. Today we wanted to answer all of your burning questions regarding the Sun acquisition. Legal Entity Combination occurred this week for the US and Canada and we want to get Sun partners started on their move to OPN Specialized.
