When it comes to small form factor standards, there are plenty from which to choose. The problem is, having so many choices creates a dilemma for board and module designers who want to differentiate themselves in the marketplace while designing products in form factors that customers demand.
For board and module designers with limited resources, or those who are new to the game, selecting a specific form factor around which to design can be a difficult process, particularly with so much competition in a limited total addressable market (TAM) scenario.
